If you have a Snapdragon chip (Qualcomm) then you're SOL regarding custom ROMs. You can try Pinephone or some other GNU/Linux-based phone if you're doing a flat-out device switch. If you don't want to be a guinea pig for a Linux phone though (mobile Linux now = desktop Linux in the early 2000s).

If you were Putin, you probably wouldn't care about a few thousand boomers from another country talking in circles about how some messiah named Q is going to come through "any day now" and take out a bunch of pedophiles or whatever crazy shit they convinced themselves to believe in.

You'd probably be more worried about being able to choose the next guy who controls Belarus or something instead

There was some weird issue displaying for a little while after the update due to a duplicated Content-Security-Policy Header ... Should be fixed now.

I just happened to check the site from a different device than usual and noticed it looked strange. I do a lot of local caching because of my piss-poor internet available (data caps) so hadn't noticed it.

Also increased the max upload size to 3mb. That should be plenty large enough for memes, screenshots, etc.

"Rather than go full nuclear on the tracking, Google came up with a compromise solution to the cookie debacle. The company plans on using the browser to group together internet users who have similar browsing patterns. In turn, businesses can serve relevant ads to these clusters of like-minded people, removing the need to track users individually."

No thanks. Use Brave instead

I'm not using an old browser, but some naive spoofing. Which is apparently enough to run into IP blocks of this site, which happens to me regularly since a few days ago. I then have to press a button to get a new identity and everything is fine again.

After I figured out the privacy nightmare that user-agents are and that there's nothing you can do to any single user-agent to avoid this problem, I've opted to instead have the user-agent change every few minutes. Which includes IP information.

Thanks for the resposne. I actually ended up using Calibre to convert to html with some limited success. I think I need to adjust the settings more, as some of the pages had some weird formatting issues with the embedded images and text overlapping them, or in some cases lines not wrapping to the page causing horizontal scroll in the browser.

It's still something I want to get working as I have some great ebooks on alternative construction, gardening, and a lot of homestead and off-grid living stuff that I want to share. Maybe some day soon...
