I've decided to take Artix (mate, openrc) for a spin. Right now I'm just updating syncing system packages with sudo pacman -Syyu
but the entire Arch ecosystem is new to me. Most my experience has been with Debian and Debian based OS'es for desktop and servers and some RHEL/CentOS limited use stuff some years ago.
Arch? Completely and entirely new to me.
Is there a crash course somewhere? A cheat sheet? Something that says,
"On Debian you do this-thing
on Arch you do this-instead
?"
Good tips for a systemd-less OS?
Currently just running in a VM ontop of my normal desktop but I may be willing to switch to it full time if I like it.

May I humbly suggest
pacman -Syu
rather than doubling up they
? Here's a forum post aboutyy
: Arch Forum Post (clear net). It's ironic. Over the last 10 years or so, I've switched from the Ubuntu-based Linux Mint to Arch, and I used Debian for many years prior. Yet, I really can't think of any specific tips. The Arch Wiki is first class, and I just refer to that whenever attempting something new. Honestly, I switched to Arch simply because the Wiki was so good.
