Reply to comment by Rambler in I2P+ VPS bandwidth usage by Rambler
Just a small clarification: I2P+ doesn't require more bandwidth than stock I2P, though if you allocate I2P+ bandwidth, it will make more efficient use of it. That's particularly apparent on high bandwidth, high performance routers where I2P+ will quite happily push 8MB/s in both directions while hosting 14K participating tunnels.

Even when using openvpn, the VPN might still leak your ipv6 !

If the original creator isn't around for a long time (tbd) then it should be up to the members of the forum to vote and decide if they would want the member who is interested to be a new mod

Reply to Created a IRC and WebIRC service for us by CyberOptic
Hell yeah. I'm always in IRC2P (#saltr) so I'll join right now. :)
edit: Can't connect to irc.coldhell.i2p:6667 after adding it to my addressbook. Will try the webchat for now. Probably an issue on my end or with my IRC client.

There is, and I'm doing something similar. Just annoying, haha.

Reply to Old news (2014) but might still be useful to some of us: Zero-day broker exploits vulnerability in I2P to de-anonymize Tails users by div1337
Yeah, that's definitely some real old news. Was an XSS exploit that was fixed real quick. It required JavaScript to be enabled, so for it to have worked someone would have had to of disabled NoScript in Tail's Firefox. Yet another reason to hate javascript.
No network is immune from exploit, as we've seen with Tor as well. As long as the devs actively fix things once they're made known, then it's all good.

Surely there is an easy way to create a static version of your site using wget? X-D

Tor but only if they can get proper funding

I think maybe members of the forum should have a say. maybe saying the mod is unfit or doesn't moderate properly and voting who to reassign. so its more of a democracy.

Good video, did you create it?
I've never heard of Sarahah, but I don't do social media. It's a shame that apps like that or others that specifically target minors don't have to pass some form of security tests before being published. Or any app, really. Just have it ran in a closed environment prior to release, analyze network traffic and make sure it's not acting maliciously.
Then again, I have no idea what the process is like for getting apps listed in the app stores.

I check ZeroTalk every few days or so...
My only issue with Zites is it's not as straight forward as a traditional website, meaning that even though you can have a dynamic site, you can't do it as easily as you would on the other networks.
I have a Zite that I need to update for another site of mine but I hate doing it because I have to take a dynamic, php driven site and just create a flatfile html version of it for ZeroNet and remove the dynamic components of it. =/
EDIT: Also, I don't like how I can't (easily) sync data between all my devices. Depending on where I am in my house or if I'm using my phone, that's different ZeroID's I'm using to interact with Zites, and that's how many times I have to download the same data again.

Definetly ZeroNet. the UI of ZeroNet makes me really excited and it also seems very modern, and it's really easy to create your own "Zite" using it.

I don't see anything wrong with assigning new moderator

Aether is pretty neat but like most P2P sites, has it's drawbacks of having to host bits of content for the network locally and I personally have never been a fan of having to "update websites" so I can see what is most current like on ZeroNet.

I've made /f/piracy a default forum. I'll reach out to the person who made it to see if they're still around.
I need to come up with a fair policy for abandoned forums so that they can be reassigned to active people who want to moderate and manage them.

Any chance you could replace the literally who forum /f/datahoarder, that only has 2 entries and is used by nobody, by /f/piracy as recommended forum?
