Say what you want about Voat, but it was a good platform of free speech and uncensored discussion. I lurked occasionally over the years but never posted. It looks like they'll be turning the lights off soon.

If any members here want to suggest ramble, that is fine. Anyone can create a forum here for whatever they see fit, and any user who doesn't wish to see content from said forum(s) are able to easily block them and carry on without knowing they exist.

I may not always agree with the content but I do agree with the idea of free speech. They have some great and active communities for everything from technology to music to video games to memes and it goes without saying that I'll welcome Voat refugees here.

I'm not sure if anything ever came of it, but I remember years back that there was some development effort put in to switch over to free software. Possibly related to https://preview.voat.co/ which is basically a test version.

I'd say we're classy (sticks pinky out when slamming this Bang) , but the community dictates what they want to see and will vote on comments accordingly.

I guess just know your audience. In a /f/privacy thread? May not go over as well there as it would in /f/DarkMemes or a forum you or another user create for a topic of your choice.

I don't care though. Just know that every forum has their own mods so try to respect their wishes.
