though I'm not sure what all they'd share
If you haven't actually done anything to merit them investigating you (e.g. federal crimes, applying for a job with them requiring a background check) then not much. They certainly have access to a lot of data about you, but if they haven't slapped it in a report and filed it somewhere then it's not getting released under the FOIA. I only really bothered filing one for myself in the first place because I knew for sure there'd be something there.

Reply to comment by MrBlack in Anyone else running Pi-Hole on a Raspberry Pi to block ads/trackers/other junk at the network level for your home? by Rambler
No real issues. I've had to whitelist a few items early on, and I don't specifically recall what they were. But I've added much more to the blacklist than I've ever had to manually whitelist.
I just like that it works network wide, so it doesn't matter if I'm on my phone, desktop, laptop, etc. If you got a pi laying around (or a spare $25 to buy one), I'd say go for it. Makes for a good first RPI project if you've not messed with them that much.
Mine is pretty much set-and-forget now. I login occasionally to check for updates and that's it.

No but I've been meaning to. Seems simple enough. Have you had issues with yours?

Imagine the backlash if any facial recognition technology targeted and flagged minorities in other nations?
An archived record of the technology shows it can perform such tasks as "glasses inspection", "smile detection", whether the subject is "ethnic" and, specifically, "Is it Uighur".
Consequently, if a Uighur livestreams a video on a website signed up to Cloud Shield, the software can detect that the user is Uighur and flag the video for review or removal, IPVM researcher Charles Rollet told Reuters.
IPVM said mention of Uighurs in the software disappeared near the time it published its report, and that Alibaba told it the feature has only been used "in a testing environment". Alibaba did not provide a comment following a Reuters' request.

If anyone is interested there are also some apps that help with deleting little internet footprints such as
Jumbo Privacy, you can switch privacy settings, delete posts, comments on applications like Google based apps, facebook, instagram, and linkedin all from the jumbo app, and they make it really simple.
Exodus Privacy, notifies which trackers are embedded in apps installed on your phone aswell as letting you know which permissions are required.
Using the same email can be a security risk, as emails are sold online and can be found by scammers for spam mail, often if said email is attached with a phone number you will also get telemarketers. Be sure to minimise your online presence by obscuring, I personally use many emails for many different applications, for shopping, for social media if any, for work, for friends, etc. This can be tiring using many emails and many passwords, so a password/account manager is optimal, I reccomend Bitwarden, they store logins in an encrypted AES-256 vault that syncs across all of your devices as well as a password manager.

Personally I try to use as less Google as possible.
Does anybody know if / how Iridium support add-ons?

Didn't realise there was so many alternatives to stuff people use on a daily basis, going to bookmark a few of these and start using them and throw Google out of my life, as I already have with the main social medias.
A great guide to this forum.

I've wanted to do this as well. Figured though if you weren't on anyone's radar before, then you will be now. I was a bit taken back when I deleted all my social media accounts earlier in the year and downloaded the data that they had collected on me. I'm sure the alphabet boys have more, though I'm not sure what all they'd share.

a good introduction into why PDFs are insecure: they have their own javascript and actionscript api that can run code inside of a PDF. it's basically not exaggerating an executable document format.

I was going to link to something similar. As someone who has a lot of PDF ebooks, let me ask a 'newb question' of my own: Is there a good way to convert them and their contents into a safer format for sharing?

FBI eFOIA portal. The FBI happens to be pretty infamous for its long drawn-out response times, which is something I found out after I submitted my request.

FFS that's a really long time. I figured it'd be a matter of months, not years.
How did you submit your request?

If they don't have anything on you, they'll let you know within a month. If they do, though, they will take their sweet time providing records... I have an open request that has been processing for 2+ years now.
