i won't delete respectful opinions, but throwing slurs around telling people to go back to reddit or raddle is just being a dick. just hit hide and go away.

edit: there seem to be some people coming in from /all or something. this is a post telling people who hate LGBT people to get off the LGBT forum. This was not a post intended to be seen from /all.

edit 2: you're still a dickhead if you hate LGBT people though.

[RAMBLE]'s official stance: Live and let live. Be who you are, unapologetically.

If people are offended by this or any content on here, just don't sub and use the "hide this forum" feature and you won't see it's content in "All" and you can live happily and ignorantly in bliss.

Who my neighbor goes to bed with and wakes up next to everyday is no concern of mine as long as they're two consenting adults then who cares?

Apparently some gay people, why else would we be hearing from them so much all the time?

Shocks me that such and alternative and new site already got lgtbphobic people ... Some things never change

It's pretty simple. No straight guy wants to look at gay porn featuring men. And since the only difference between gay and straight men is the sexuality part, the only reason to draw attention to this difference is sexual.

So there's no surprise in the rejection received. If you don't reduce yourself to your sexuality, neither will anyone else. You may get called a faggot, but you also may get called a motherfucker. Both are curse words not to be taken literally.

LGBT people's existence doesn't offend me at all.

The assumption that I have to give a shit that someone is gay or whatever does. No one cares, welcome to equality.

3

gamergirl OP wrote

yeah. you shouldn't give a shit if anyone is gay. i'm in favour.
this forum isn't here to insist that everyone should care, it's here for lgbt people to talk about shit that's specific to lgbt people.

boobs wrote

shit that's specific to lgbt people.

which is what? aren't lgbt people just like everyone else?

2

gamergirl OP wrote

lgbt people are just like everyone else, except for their experience of sexuality/gender.

4

boobs wrote

is that really exclusive to lgbt?

I've never heard of non-lgbt people having to deal with receiving hate for their sexuality for one.

this is starting to sound like that idpol in-group / out-group talk now...

If everyone is like everyone else and no one has anything specific to them since we're all the same... why have any forums at all?

5

gamergirl OP wrote

people who share experiences talking about said experiences is not identity politics.

5

boobs wrote

of course it isn't.

you know what is? using terms like non-lgbt or non-white. that shit doesn't help anyone.

1

gamergirl OP wrote

how would you describe people that are not lgbt then?

4

boobs wrote

straight?

2

Rose wrote (edited )

That just covers the sexuality part.

3

boobs wrote

is there any other parts? does it also come with an economic, political and religious component or something? what am i missing here?

1

Rose wrote (edited )

Gender. Straight is usually just to reference sexuality. There is the word "cis" for that but I don't tend to see it used that often outside of specific spaces. Saying non-lgbt was just quicker. Admittedly I was just talking about sexuality there, but you can apply a similar idea to gender.

2

boobs wrote

pretty sure gender is understood to mean sexuality by everyone and their dog?

−1

Rose wrote

No? Sexuality is the gender you are attracted to. Gender is more of a sense of self thing.

2

boobs wrote

isn't sexuality a sense of self thing?

3

Rose wrote

I guess, but gender is a lot more about the self, rather than others.

2

Rose wrote (edited )

You did ask for something exclusive to lgbt people.

4

boobs wrote

where?

Rose wrote

is that really exclusive to lgbt?

3

boobs wrote

read that post again please.

i am not asking for something that is exclusive to lgbt people. i asked if people experiencing sexuality differently is exclusive to lgbt.

2

Rose wrote

Hmm. Misread the view on that then. But you did ask earlier:

shit that's specific to lgbt people.

which is what?

3

boobs wrote

having poor reading comprehension is regrettable indeed.

what are you talking about? what exactly is hateful and aggressive about telling people who disagree with my existence to hide this forum and move on?

4

boobs wrote

i think he's alluding to the gender nazi problem in the lgbt community.

2

gamergirl OP wrote

based on their other comment, I'm pretty sure they're insinuating that i'm hateful and aggressive.

3

boobs wrote

maybe instead of assuming you know what their intent is you could ask them to clarify what they mean?

2

gamergirl OP wrote

I mean, 'your kind of aggressive behaviour' doesn't really need clarification.

4

boobs wrote

try to keep an open mind regardless.

Persecution complex, much? If I tell someone that they are a niggerfaggot and have to go back to reddit, that's because of something they did, not because of something they are.

I don't care who you are. I only care about what you do. And getting all offended over perceived slights against your identity to the point of shouting it out in a post bodes ill.

What's even the point of sharing your identity on a privacy focussed platform even if it's just your sexual one? I don't see what benefit this brings, other than attention whoring.

The point of free speech isn't to have everyone isolated in their own filter bubbles, which is why I don't hide forums. I'm here to ramble on and maybe have a conversation.

So what lgbt stuff is there even to talk about? How you enjoyed putting your penis into another mans anus?

No, niggerfaggot is used to end a conversation, obviously. It wouldn't make sense to start a conversation by telling someone to go back to reddit, anyway.
