Let me make a few things clear:

  1. I don't care what you post, within reason. See our rules here: https://ramble.pw/wiki/rules

  2. You're not getting a rise out of me when you post vulgar stuff. If it's spam or against the rules, I remove it and carry on with my life. All moderation logs are public, so feel free to review that via the sidebar on the forums in question. Removing spam and trolls does not equal censorship. (Ex: check out /f/pics mod log, I don't care that people want to post gay porn in their own forum for it. It's legal adult content and everyone is into different stuff. Removing that content from /f/pics is not "censorship", it's organization)

  3. Yes, there is some vulgar content on this site. I don't have to agree with someone's opinion to allow them the ability to speak it. Things existing on this site does not mean I personally support or believe it, it just means I'm a grown ass adult who doesn't get offended that people aren't exactly like me or have different views than my own.

With that said, moving forward:

  1. All default forums should have SFW content only. These are the forums people see when viewing the front page of the site as a guest, or when they create an account and have not yet subscribed to any of their own forums. I think most default forums already have a SFW rule listed in the sidebar already.

  2. Temporarily, I have restricted creation of new forums to admins only. PM me and I'll create something for you and hook you up as the mod if you want. This temporarily rule comes from me just having to delete: HotBabyPics, InfantLove, voluntary_pedophilia, Pedosexual (because the background image was a grown man kissing a young boy, which is against our super short and easy to follow rules), HotVirginPussies, Teenaged_Dick, and hotkiddies. This is a temporary measure due to trolls.

  3. I'll work on an easy to follow guide on how to block people and forums from your view so you don't have to interact with things you find morally wrong or disgusting, though it's simple enough you can likely figure it out on your own.

I pay for this site out of pocket, and make it a resource available to all. I gain nothing from running this site. The rules are pretty simple and easy to follow, but I will not tolerate spammers and trolls. I'm very open and transparent with what I do with the site so feel free to ask me any questions regarding content, moderation, etc.

Moving forward, make sure content posted to default forums follows the rules posted in the sidebar for that forum, as this helps make the site welcoming to everyone. In your own user created communities, feel free to operate within the previously posted rules.

As I've already stated in the past, abuse that is stemming from any particular network will result in access to the site from that network being temporarily revoked.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this, I'll be happy to address them.

EDIT: Removed several new members who were participating in brigading. The pedo accounts and the Hitler account commenting on this thread were coordinated.

I like that the site is SFW and mostly has tech-related content. We should preserve that culture.

How can you preserve a culture?

By removing invasive evil newcomers who come here just to destroy the site.

It's straightforward to remove brigading trolls, but when they come in one at a time once every couple of weeks and assimilate properly instead of openly trolling to then steer the culture towards something different, what'cha gonna do?

If they assimilate and contribute to the culture then they are helping to preserve it.

How would they preserve it by posting and upvoting stuff they are interested in, which doesn't have to be either technology or privacy.

Sure, but contributing won't preserve a culture. Eternal September and all that.

Simple rules some people cannot grasp and understand every step you've done is right, and for people who cannot follow a simple rule are ruining it for everyone else.

As I also stated in a post myself, I don't care if your a pedo but please keep that stuff away from here as Ramble wasn't made for that content.

How are you able to do that when it's an .onion? I hope you don't mean you're gonna block all of the tor network...

I have restricted creation of new forums to admins only

This is a good move. We can't let just any pinkhaired cuck off the street make forums here or this place will turn into another reddit, filled with commie nonsense.

Never said it was coming from a .onion, but since you're participating in the brigade you already know this. But to answer your question, I can just redirect Tor traffic to a page explaining why traffic is temporarily blocked or sudo service tor stop and just turn off the Onion service.

I don't care about people's political views. I'd support an antifa forum just as much as I would a proudboy forum.

So you really are gonna block tor whenever a degenerate makes an account?

Fuck this, I'm out of here. Pro-privacy my ass.

95% sure he was part of that little troll brigade based on the fact they all registered at roughly the same time, interacted with each other the most, and mass voted site-wide.

While it's not possible to know who votes on what, I can see how many votes an account casts in total (comment votes and submission votes). Seeing a new thread get posted, and it have an immediate multiple vote score while refreshing the member list to see 3 new members all cast an additional vote somewhere on the site makes it possible to determine the likelihood that they're just voting on each other's stuff.

I'm also fairly certain who is behind these little brigades but don't care enough to get involved in childish games. I'll just quickly clean up their mess and continue on with my day, no big deal.

First off, .onion access isn't paused as you know already since you're posting from it, and if it does, you'll still have I2P, Lokinet and Yggdrasil. And can still access the clearnet site via Tor.

But okay.

What kind of cuck blocks all of the tor network because of 2 fags.

Is it blocked? It's not.

It's a recourse that I have if I want to do it. I can block Tor access, I2P access, Lokinet access, Yggdrasil access or clearnet access. One of them, two of them, or any combination of them as needed or as I want.

Meanwhile, you're part of today's brigade and I've baited enough responses out of you to locate your alt-account and determine you two are just downvoting everything site wide.

Bye :)
