Seems like an on-going topic of interest in the #saltr (I2P+) IRC chat (see sidebar) is optimizing individual I2P+ routers for carrying more network traffic. After some help from /u/z3d and /u/term99 my I2P+ router is humming along more efficiently now.

If you're running a router 24/7 you just may get some help optimizing it for carrying the most network traffic it can handle if you hop over on IRC.

This is more for fun/bragging rights as much as it is to help the actual network by having better optimized routers running 24/7.

First pictured downtime was moving my I2P+ router from one VPS provider to a new home with a better network. The other ones are just random router reboots from adjusting some settings.

What kind of optimisations are we talking here? I'm curious? Is this an entirely different router (i2pd?) or modifications in the standard java router?

My bad... I'm dumb. I2P+

Hop on IRC and they'll help you optimize your I2P router as well. Main adjustments were made to router.config and to define variables that are otherwise automatically set.

Things like defining i2np.ntcp.maxConnections=XXXX and i2np.udp.maxConnections=XXXX and i2np.udp.maxConcurrentEstablish=XXXX played a big role on my end.

I also gave the JVM process a bit more memory to play with in wrapper.config and a few other things that I don't recall specifically.
