I think you're right about the enormous difference in scale between Nazi slaughter and Communist slaughter!

Did I answer your question adequately about why Nazis are bad?

I get where you're coming from, but none of your reasons are exclusive to the Nazis. I guess what I'm most confused about is why the Nazis get singled out to this day.

The Japanese more or less successfully genocided the indigenous people of northern Japan called Ainu and nobody is giving them a hard time for it, for example. Meanwhile, Jews are still everywhere, so the genocide against them wasn't exactly crowned by success. But still, everyone and their mothers know what the Holocaust is (by Nazis, 1941-1945, 6million deaths or so, during WWII), while being in the dark about things like the Holodomor (by Commies, 1932-1933, 12million deaths or so, during peacetime).

So the Nazis took twice as many years to kill half as much people as the Commies, but still people think Nazis killed probably nearly as much as the Commies. And the Nazis only really have the Holocaust to be blamed for, while there's many, many other atrocities done by the commies, like the mobile gas chamber cars, where the auto fumes where redirected to the passengers, who were put into the car naked, killed while they drove to a graveyard and then buried. The cars were camouflaged to look like normal cars, so nobody around would be any the wiser. These cars were for political dissenters, btw.

It's true. The Nazis are bad, but they are but one of many manifestations of evil in this world. People give disproportionate attention to things while ignoring others.

The worrying part is that communism is on the rise again. If only it was ingrained in everyone that commies are worse than nazis.
