Pale moon because it's lightweight and Firefox because it's modern. I actually have a bunch of different browsers installed for the purpose of testing things or accessing sites that work best with specific browsers, but my favourite would still be Pale moon.

Almost all browsers are based on chrome or firefox. I think both could be better but I like firefox more.

A Nokia smartphone because:
- They are cheap
- All Nokia smartphones guarantee three years of security upgrades, something very rare in cheap Android phones, this is usually reserved to high end models.
- They are not owned by the Chinese. The brand is owned by Microsoft and they sold to HMD Global, a Finnish company, the rights to build phones with the brand.

Also, meh.
Lemmy community didn’t seem to impressed with anything here, but personally I don’t care either. A community that censors its users actions and speech isn’t deemed interesting to me and never will be. Ramble is a very good community regardless of being usable far right/far left who cares.

If i recall the new models of iPhone have virtual sim cards. I side with you that a SIM in 2021 is pointless. The next day 2 years I think it will be all virtual.

I remember old Nokia brick phones and Motorola Razr flips from when I was younger. Galaxy is a very good phone to this day, I have a Note a while back and loved it, till I smashed it to bits at a concert. I never usually get a phone fixed when I break it I usually just buy a new one.

I have two mobile phones I use currently. Don’t ask why because I’m not entirely sure, I use a iPhone X on a daily basis and I usually bring my Oppo Find X3 around.

I might look into it. I used Lineage OS on the Essential Ph-1 and it was even slower than the stock ROM.

You should be able to use Lineage OS on your 8 Pro: https://lineageosroms.com/instantnoodlep/

I've never had a smartphone. I currently still use an old candybar style Nokia phone. It can call and text and has tetris. But I want a PinePhone!!!

An old one. But it works, so whatever.
I tried buying a new phone, but it's kinda overwhelming and with the simple specs I want: triple sim, dual sd-card slot and 16:9 display I seem to be shit out of luck. Even dual sim phones prevent sd-card usage if you actually dare to use two sim cards. Like, what the fuck. I don't get why SIMs are still necessary and couldn't be digital, but here we are.

I mainly use LibreWolf, but I also have ungoogled-chromium and Basilisk. Maybe I'd use Pale Moon mainly if it supported Bitwarden or I'd switch to KeePassXC, but none of these things are possible right now.
