Nix is a bottom up development and with current hardware manufacturing and integrations things may become unstable. Careful if you run to many Nix programs on the same time. Don't learn the hard way by overdoing it.
Most OSes are Top-Down developments. You have a kernel that attempts to keep things stable and adjusts. Nix tries to adjust the kernel (bottom-up) based on the programs you run. Nix can run into problems quicker than a Top-Down development. I have some other OS candidates but if you CAN get a non-corrupted Kaisen (the current situation with Kaisen is bleak) you are probably better off than with other OSes.
