Does anyone know how to subscribe to an i2p feed on something like FreshRss? I've tried setting it up by using http proxy pointing to localhost:4444 but it gave error and didn't work.

Can you provide some more information? What RSS feed are you trying to connect to? Can you view the feed in your web browser?

I'm trying to connect to http://ramble.i2p/f/Privacy/new.atom and yes I can view it in my browser/file manager

For reading rss feeds there exists also the desktop application thunderbird. Configuring the network settings in thunderbird under manual proxy configuration / http proxy worked for me. Entering into 2 text fields {!ip-address of your i2p node in local network!} port number of http-proxy (4444 for example) worked. I do not know about other rss feed readers.
