So what's being drunk like?

Despite being an adult, I have never gotten drunk. I am not aware of what it is like and while I would like to try, parties and pubs and such places are far too loud. I am aware of the fact that alcohol gives people poor judgement; if I were to drink it, would I end up giving it away to my hyperreligious family by something stupid like a drunk text? anyways what is the feeling of being drunk? and do you still get a hangover if you only get a bit tipsy? is it really that easy to drink far more than one intended?
