So, aside from IncogSnoo ( https://incogsnoo.com / http://teddit.i2p ) I learned that the RIF app still works for browsing reddit. Just sign out / clear app data/cache and you can browse reddit using it, which I've been doing since it's incredibly rare for me to ever post or interact with content on the site anyway. If you try to login, you'll get errors, but general browsing is fine and you can still 'favorite' subs for quick access.
