By caving in to bullshit "neighboring rights" in France and Australia, Google may appear to be losing. But what it's really doing is carving out a privileged position to be the news platform, even as publishers in the devil's deal will be fanning out to stamp out any non Google approved news aggregators. Yes, I imagine one day they will even be conniving to throw Ramble in jail for talking about the news without permission.
