I run https://incog.host and we're planning on adding a VPN service in the coming months, available in a few places around the world (Mainly privacy friendly locations, but likely also a US location or two for those wishing to watching Netflix and access US based content that may be blocked elsewhere).

Right now, the (very early) beta is available only in Luxembourg but we're eyeballing about 5 other locations for the initial launch whenever that day finally comes.

I'm just looking for five people from here who want to have a free VPN for a month to test. The only requirements are that you:

• Know how to connect to OpenVPN via a .ovpn configuration file (easy) or Wireguard VPNs. I'd rather you use Wireguard but OVPN is okay too. This VPN will mostly be without support (during the beta phase) so knowing the basics on how to connect is vital. I recommend the official Wireguard app available in both the iPhone app store as well as in the Android one. It's what I use for my phone without a hitch and what one of the other team member uses as well. (Just scan the QR code and boom, connected)

• You will keep in contact with us during the next 30 days and report sites that are broken and not appearing properly to our helpdesk. Because we're running an extensive blocklist to block ads, trackers, spyware, phishing sites and more... It's possible that there are false positives or services that we wouldn't personally consider using may be broken, because we've not tested it yet (Things like social media sites, Zoom, Skype, etc...) Let us know via the helpdesk and we can fix and unblock things as needed.

• You'll report speed results and concerns you have, as well as suggestions for improvement so we can make the service as solid as possible for you and others during the initial launch.

• You understand that SOME non-identifying logging will take place only for the purpose of ironing out the blocklists. IE: We will be able to see the DNS requests as we run a separate DNS server specific for the VPN service, but the requests will appear to be from the VPN IP, not your real IP. Once the actual service goes into production with a list that we're happy with, we'll disable DNS logging because it'll no longer serve a purpose.

• Speaking of DNS, initial requests may take a brief moment to connect since we're not passing things onto Google or Cloudflare like many others and instead running unbound and serving the requests directly

Obviously we'll give some sort of discount for beta testers once the service goes into production if they want to continue using the service once it's offered publicly, though that may still be months away.

Got 165 Mbit through directly wiring into Starlink just now for a test location in Michigan so from Michigan Test Location > Lux > Starlink > Me still hit 165 Mbit
