This year we are working on several proposals, and the biggest one is Proposal 169, Post-Quantum Crypto.

This proposal lays out a roadmap and specification for migrating to post-quantum-safe cryptography in I2P.

i2pd and Java I2P are working together to review the proposal, and do early implementations as proof-of-concept. This week we had our first successful cross-project, live-net, end-to-end test of PQ encryption. While there's a long way from works-once to works all the time, this is a big milestone. It proves out that the specification is correct, our implementations are compatible, and most of all, that the network is PQ-ready now. Due to decisions we made years ago (for example when designing "ls2"), PQ eepsites can be hosted today, even though only the two routers in the network involved in the test know anything about PQ.

For more info on proposal 169, see http://i2p-projekt.i2p/spec/proposals/169

Our second review of the proposal is in IRC2P #ls2, Tuesday April 22, 7 PM UTC, all are welcome.
