Just found this one after seeing that dread is down. Are there other major forums to visit?

Seems like a lot of busts recently. As someone who doesn't really follow this closely, is this normal? Seems like Dread is or was having major issues as well.

I get taking it away from him and reprimanding, but what is jail going to accomplish? He just gets a free two years socializing with criminals. That's going to improve his life. Not.

Wasn't jail supposed to be to protect people from criminals that would harm them? How is that kid a threat?

Fair enough. ReCaptcha is the worst captcha service imo for the pure reason it's Googlefied.

Dreads captchas are rage captchas, even Darkfail admin pointed it out and said that Dread should be avoided as he seems to think Hug is no longer in control of Dread.

I'm not sure what to think but I've avoided it for a while, he updates his canary always late and Paris seems to have a bad relationship with Hug calling him a lazy admin.

I'd rather have a platform where the relationship is good between staff and the Canary is updated on time, but Dread is pretty much the only place people seem to socialise on Tor.

I also don't agree with a captcha every time you write a message, but that's Dread for you.

Jesus. I kind of have to follow all the forums on this site (Plus I just browse All/new and I almost spit my drink out after I realized what I was looking at.

To my knowledge it was made by Finnish residents, hopefully the market administration and moderation had good OPSEC, as I'm sure the authorities will be going through everything with a fine tooth comb.

I also agree, making a marketplace for a certain country is more reasonable as sending packages in your country is a lot easier than posting worldwide.

But then again I don't know to what extent the place operated but they seem to be more reasonable with it than most places at least.

To my knowledge they made the marketplace for Finnish residents and it wasn't a huge market like empire was my thought on them being busted will most likely be due to security vulnerabilities, they haven't released much information as of yet as they're still investigating the marketplace (staff and users) and by the looks of it they was using Ekmars Marketplace script, which of what I've heard isn't the best way to go about a matketplace.

Was this a big market? How do you think that they were busted? That's not very common, is it?

Yeah, that was funny and only by accident. At the time, I took a look at every existing market, to compare them a little bit and tried to mess with them. I got lucky with Pax Romana I guess.

The timeline is not up to date unfortunately, but within the next weeks, I will update it.

This is a great read to see the timeline of marketplaces that existed and information about them, I also like the information about PaxRomania ;).
