Say I buy $100 worth of Monero and it's sent to whatever wallet address. If I then transfer that Monero to another address in that wallet will they be linked somehow? Like could you tell that it went from purchase source -> to purchase wallet -> to new wallet?

no, the blockchain is opaque

it's recommended to split purchases into dedicated stealth addresses, and I'd personally do:

buy XMR -> withdraw to stealth address of wallet #1 -> move to stealth address of wallent #2 -> spend

If you buy Monero with your debit or credit card, and move it from the original wallet to a new wallet, can the original purchase be traced back to you?
