In the Japanese (1965) version the protagonist is named Leo, but they changed it to Kimba for the English (1966) release. Back in those days, they always changed the names.

Keep in mind, when Disney does it, it's called a homage.

Sometimes I mistake him for junichi suwabe (known for voicing archer from fate stay night and is urrently voicing sukuna from jujutsu kaisen and yami sikehiro from black clover) especially when they scream they both sound very similar, but when speaking calmly, I can kinda sometimes them apart

I remember seeing this joke about anime character's age. Look at a character, guess her age, subtract 10 from it, if that number is negative, add 100.

Manga is Fate/stay night (likely from some doujin), anime that doesn't give a fuck is Kore wa Zombie desu ka. In the top corner there's Strike the Blood.

When it comes to Chinese stuff, I mainly watch movies like "the bravest" and "the wondering earth" not to mention martial arts movies like ip man

Never read books or watched animated stuff, but I've heard about Reverend insanity but only in name

The only two Chinese animations I've seen were a 3d animated series called "Ling long: incarnation" and an anime-style show called "the uncharted walker" both were pretty good

There was also another 3d animation, can't remember its name and I only saw one or two episodes where a teenage boy woke up in a desolate city where maniacs are killing each other, iirc there was a man (or was it a woman?) with a chainsaw trying to kill him and a pink haired girl helping him, it was an interesting show, if I managed to remember it's name, I'll look for the rest of episodes

Wit Studio does amazing work. Unfortunately Vinland Saga was a pretty mediocre story with the whole slavery-is-bad and people-owning-slaves-are-evil-incarnate. Moral busybodying like that takes you out of the story.

But if the story checks out it could be amazing. Unfortunately, for the past decade there haven't been all that many great stories coming out of Japan. Nowadays I'll read more Chinese stuff than Japanese. Reverend Insanity for example is so amazing that reading it was a major mistake, since now everything else feels like garbage in comparison.

Can't say I fully understand japanese, most of my knowledge comes from anime and JP games, I need to concentrate a lot on what I hear to understand so if I'm focusing on the subtitles I won't make out what they say

I suggest lowering the audio, it helps me avoid clearly hearing words I know too well
