It’s been a while since we saw the last episode of Darling in the Franxx, and to be honest, a lot of fans were yet to move on. In terms of mecha anime standards, it may not reach the caliber of the Gundam franchise, nor the Evangelion series. And surely, it was never a Code Geass tier. But still, it managed to etch itself a place in the hearts of fans everywhere. Character development was its strongest point, and it gave the fans a highly adored female protagonist.

I highly doubt it, the ending as bitter as it felt, was conclusive.
