Basically everything will need an alt-tech version or some kind of decentralized solution. Otherwise they'll cave to the censors.

This. It's in my opinion that making your website available over Tor, I2P (at a minimum) is required for any website that:

  • Wants to go above and beyond for protecting user privacy
  • Has any controversial content.

Yep. I have Ramble's TOR address bookmarked. If anything happens, I can always use that. I wish more websites would do the same.
