I found an old jar of spawn and decided to try and multiply it.

Variety: Z-strain

Strain: Psilocybe cubensis

After a grain to grain transfer, I now have six jars of colonizing oats, however, I have discovered at least three of these jars are contaminated with bacteria.

Seeing as they are fully colonized and may still give me mushrooms, I am going to fruit these jars on coco coir. I am going to use my remaining 3 spawn jars to try isolating mycelium on agar so I can clean up my myc and do not have to start from spore again.

I'll tell you how it goes.
