The rapid development of neural network technology and the simultaneous progress in neurobiology and neurosurgery enabling the replacement, reading and influencing of brain activities leads us as humanity to the possibility of transferring human self-awareness to more permanent structures than our brain. Will such a person (because a person is mainly his or her consciousness) be perceived as an equal citizen of the world like people functioning in the existing biological structures? Will religions, politicians and ordinary people allow the existence of people transferred from traditional brains to artificial, but more durable ones? Are we mentally prepared for this? And who will gain more political capital from this - conservatives or democrats?
